Welcome to Eras. We are committed to protecting your personal information and being transparent about how we use it. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Eras is an independent product operated as a sole proprietorship based in India.

Information We Collect

2a. Information You Provide

We collect information you voluntarily provide:

·Email address — when you submit our early access or interest form (powered by Tally.so)
·Feedback — when you submit a message via our feedback form (powered by Tally.so)

2b. Information Collected Automatically

When you visit Eras, we automatically collect:

·Traffic data — pages visited, referral source, country, device type, and browser (via Vercel Analytics)
·Performance data — page load times and Core Web Vitals (via Vercel Analytics)
·IP address — used only to determine approximate country-level location

This data is aggregated and anonymised. We do not build individual user profiles from analytics data at this stage.

Eras is in early development. User accounts, payments, and additional features are not yet active. This policy will be updated as new features are introduced.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

·Notify you when Eras launches or when significant updates are available (only if you have submitted your email)
·Understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it
·Respond to your feedback and support requests
·Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data for advertising. Eras is ad-free.

Third-Party Services

Eras currently uses the following third-party services:

Tally.so

Used for our email capture and feedback forms. When you submit your email or feedback, that data is stored in Tally. See the Tally Privacy Policy.

Vercel

Our hosting provider. Vercel Analytics collects anonymised traffic and performance data. No personal identifiers are stored. See the Vercel Privacy Policy.

Wikipedia REST API

We fetch publicly available article summaries from Wikipedia to display in the app. No personal data is shared with or sent to Wikipedia.

Services we plan to add in future (this policy will be updated before each is introduced): Supabase (accounts and database), Stripe (payments), PostHog (product analytics), Anthropic Claude API (AI features).

Cookies

Eras uses minimal cookies:

·Analytics cookies — set by Vercel Analytics to measure traffic. These are anonymised and contain no personal identifiers.

We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels. You can disable cookies in your browser settings without affecting your ability to browse Eras.

Data Retention

We retain your data only as long as necessary:

·Email addresses submitted via early access form — retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion
·Analytics data — retained per Vercel's standard retention policy (anonymised aggregates)
·Feedback submissions — retained until actioned, then deleted

Your Rights

All Users

·Right to access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
·Right to deletion — request that we delete your data
·Right to correction — request that we correct inaccurate data
·Right to unsubscribe — opt out of any emails at any time

European Union Users (GDPR)

If you are in the EU or EEA, you have additional rights under GDPR including data portability, the right to restrict processing, and the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Our lawful basis for processing your data is Legitimate Interests (analytics, product improvement) and Consent (email communications).

Indian Users (DPDP Act 2023)

If you are in India, you have rights under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, including the right to access, correct, and erase your personal data. Contact us at hello@geteras.app to exercise these rights.

Data Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your data:

·All data transmitted between your browser and our servers is encrypted via HTTPS
·Access to any collected data is restricted to essential personnel only

No method of internet transmission is 100% secure. We take it seriously but cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's Privacy

Eras is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with their information, please contact us at hello@geteras.app and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to This Policy

We will update this policy as Eras grows and new features are introduced — particularly when user accounts, payments, or additional third-party services are added. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and post a notice on the site.

Your continued use of Eras after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
